The Power of AI for Sustainability

We've always believed that the power of AI for sustainability should be truly transformative, extending far beyond the tech sector. To prove it, we designed the ecozeAI engine to take on any kind of product, from the simplest consumer good to the most complex industrial material, and provide a deep, verifiable understanding of its true environmental impact.


So, what do an iPhone, a can of Coca-Cola, and a tonne of cement have in common? 🤔

Until now, the answer might have been "very little." For sustainability and procurement teams, calculating the carbon footprint for such a diverse range of products would mean a logistical nightmare of different methodologies, endless supplier questionnaires, and expensive, time-consuming manual Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs).


We put ecozeAI to the test to show there’s a better way. We challenged our engine to perform a full, cradle-to-gate Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) and supply chain analysis on a variety of everyday and industrial items:

For each one, ecozeAI performed its deep research and analysis, combing through global disclosures, import/export filings, patent libraries, and product teardown data to infer a complete Bill of Materials from scratch.


The result was the same every time: in under an hour, it produced a rapid, audit-ready footprint with a full evidence locker. This is the kind of data that moves companies beyond compliance-grade reporting and empowers teams to make meaningful, data-driven decarbonisation decisions.

Providing rapid, accurate PCFs is the foundation, but our vision is to create a complete carbon-data backbone for the enterprise. Based on feedback from our design partners and the wider market, our near-term roadmap is focused on delivering even more strategic value:


✍️ Manual Calculation Edits: While our AI delivers incredible speed and accuracy, we understand the need for human expertise. We’re building in full control for users to review, refine, and override any data point in a calculation, blending the best of AI-driven analysis with your team’s unique knowledge.


🧠 Private AI Training: Your data is your advantage. We are developing the capability for ecozeAI to be securely trained on your private, internal data - from specific supplier contracts to proprietary manufacturing processes - for a level of accuracy and insight that is completely unique to your business.


💰 Integrated Cost Breakdowns: True sustainability is profitable. We’re integrating financial data to allow for tandem analysis of carbon and cost efficiency. Soon, you’ll be able to see the cost implications of every component and supplier choice right alongside its carbon impact.


🌱 Greener Alternative Recommendations: The Procurement Plug-in is just the start. The core ecozeAI engine will soon proactively recommend vetted, lower-carbon substitutes for materials and components, displaying the potential CO₂e and financial savings side-by-side to make low-carbon procurement the default choice.
